Made With Love,
Ingredient Substitutions:
Using russet potatoes is my preference for this recipe, as I find they work the best. However, diced red potatoes or Yukon gold potatoes are also great alternatives, just like they are in my sausage potato skillet recipe.
For added flavor and a boost of vegetables, feel free to add shredded carrots in place of or in addition to the green beans. This is a great way to sneak in more vegetables and color, similar to what I do in my slow cooker chicken and veggies recipe.

Key Ingredients:
- Sausage: I use Kielbasa sausage links in this recipe, but feel free to substitute with your favorite type of sausage links, such as turkey sausage or chicken sausage.
- Potatoes: Russet potatoes are my go-to because they are versatile and absorb the cooking liquid well, resulting in even more flavor.

How to Make Slow Cooker Kielbasa, Potatoes, and Green Beans:
This recipe is incredibly simple to throw together! Follow these easy steps for a delicious and satisfying meal.

- Assemble Ingredients: In the slow cooker, add the sliced sausage, diced onion, diced potatoes, and green beans. This creates a flavorful base for the dish.
- Season: Add the minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and chicken broth. Stir to combine, ensuring all ingredients are coated with the seasoning.
My Pro Tip
Recipe Tip
Be sure to cook the meal for only 4-5 hours on low heat. Overcooking can result in mushy potatoes, so timing is key for the best texture.
- Top with Butter: Place the sliced butter evenly over the top. The butter will melt and add richness to the dish as it cooks.

- Cook: Cover and cook on Low for 5 hours, or until the potatoes and green beans are tender. Stir once or twice during cooking if possible to ensure even cooking.

- Finish with Cheese: Just before serving, sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese and stir gently to combine. The Parmesan adds a salty, savory finish.
Storage Instructions:
Fridge: Add any leftovers to an airtight container and then place the container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. This is a great meal for meal prepping!
Recipe FAQs
This recipe creates its own delicious sauce with a mixture of chicken broth and the natural juices from the ingredients. For a creamy twist, you can add cream cheese to turn it into a creamy Kielbasa recipe, or try my creamy sausage pasta for another fantastic option.
Feel free to pick your favorite brand of Kielbasa sausage links and slice them to your desired thickness. For a whole sausage recipe, try this delicious one-pot sausage and peppers recipe.
I would not suggest adding rice directly to the slow cooker for this sausage recipe, as it will soak up all of the liquid and could become mushy. However, you can always serve this dish over any fresh or leftover white rice for a complete meal.
